We're ready for a summer of resistance, especially as Darrell Issa ramps up his fundraising efforts, and the GOP pushes for their destructive budget and health care repeal.
July 7th Protest at Issa Fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe
With very little notice, we managed a good showing outside an Issa fundraiser on Friday. Thanks to all who came out and represented us. ABC Channel 10 covered the protest, quoting us saying that Issa “won’t listen unless they donate to his campaign."
We will continue to keep an eye out for these unpublicized events and let you know as soon as possible. Also, check out Issa's "mobile office hours" which are open to all, no appointments required.

The uncertain fate of TrumpCare continues—the bill continues to lose its momentum. A few alternative paths forward have been floated by members of the GOP. One strategy is to only repeal the ACA and another is to work with the Dems to fix the ACA. Which one will hurt Americans less? You guessed it.
Closer to home, we have the opportunity this week to make a difference with our calls to Issa. Sometime between Wednesday and Friday, the House will vote on HR 23 — to take away California’s ability to run its own water system and prohibit the Endangered Species Act from applying to our water system. Issa is a co-sponsor! Read more analysis on the bill and the full briefing here.
Key Actions for this week:
Call Issa's office to protest the terrible HR 23 bill which takes away California's right to run its own water system, and removes EPA protections from applying to our water system.
