Membership Meeting: We had a wonderful turnout for the Membership Meeting on Sunday. Thanks to all who were able to attend. Staci Beavers talked about Impeachment vs the 25th Amendment. We had numerous breakout sessions to determine what you can do, Cipriano from Flip the 49th explained how you can canvass to help get people registered to vote, PJ Duke explained phonebanking training and Ryan Ewig provided help with advanced Tweeting skills. We also had a group who brainstormed various ways to volunteer and turn "Talk into Action" with Jeff Cours. We will be recapping the meeting over the next few days and will provide the information on our website and on Facebook.

Tuesday is the one year anniversary of Election Day 2016. That sure calls for an uncelebration! We need to remember all of the destruction Donald Trump and his big fan, Darrell Issa, have brought to our country since election day. We need to remember that none of it is normal and we can never let it become normal. Please dress in black.
At this rally, we will be collecting diapers to distribute to a variety of local charities.

HR 3043 - To “modernize” hydropower. This bill would classify hydropower as a renewable energy. Hydropower, for the most part, is far from a renewable source of energy. Dams cost hundreds of millions of dollars and have a host of problems associated with them including completely altering river ecology, not to mention getting clogged with silt over time. Hydropower, when carried out by giant corporations, is not renewable at all. Numerousenvironmental groups are against this bill.
Update on the Tax plan - Ryan says they will pass the GOP tax plan before Thanksgiving. The Ways and Means committee will look at the bill this week. Here’s a breakdown of what the tax bill might mean for you.
